In our new members-only feature, Extras, Extras, we’re bringing you all the extra behind-the-scenes info from our reporting that didn’t wind up in the final story. The DVD extras of journalism, if you will.
Well, it sure does feel like a lifetime ago that we were basking in the late April sun and exploring the not-so-wide world of outdoor dining last week, doesn't it?
At this point it's been raining for days, and in my hellhole apartment at least, that's meant water from the roof absolutely flooding in through the ceiling of my front room, almost a year to the day after the cabinets came crashing off the walls. (Yes, this has happened multiple times before, no, I will not be renewing my lease, and yes, I'm currently accepting tips on good apartments.)
With the weather stymying us from getting back outdoors, now's as good a time as any to delve into an element of last week's visit to Brew Inn that didn't make it into Tim's final writeup. See, while we were there to experience the joys of the outdoor dining setup, a special gift — or actually, at least half a dozen special gifts — awaited us inside. Specifically, in the bathroom.
