Team Groove is on a much deserved summer break this week but the real work of keeping this city running never sleeps. That's why the theme of our next New York Groove Live! show on Sept. 1 is LABOR DAYS.
Solidarity is so hot right now so we're diving into the city's history of — and occasionally fraught relationship with — organized labor and unions for this edition. We'll be joined by two excellent guests for this topic: Liz Hynes, a writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and a WGA East Council member, and ace labor reporter Hamilton Nolan, of How Things Work.
