Video: Why did I eat nine hot dogs in one inning?

Who, exactly, do I think I'm impressing here?

Video: Why did I eat nine hot dogs in one inning?
This is one of the more appealing screenshots from the video of me eating all these hot dogs.

Out of all of my friends, I am the most likely person to get "Why?" from the people I know or various onlookers watching me do something or hearing about something I've done. Why are you going down a snowy hill on a skateboard deck and not a sled? Why do you call yourself America's Sweetheart? Why does it take so long to explain your Halloween costume? Why did you stay up all night before Inauguration Day if you knew you had to cover it? Why are you trying to box Brad Lander? Why do all your parties have obtuse themes? Why do you bike on Flatbush Avenue?

With the exception of those last two (in order, because any fan of The Great Gatsby knows an obtuse extravagant party is how to impress girls and because the shortest distance between two points is a straight line), I tend not to have an answer when people ask me this.

So then, why did I decide to eat a 9-9-9 box, which is a box of nine half-size hot dogs and nine four-ounce beers that the Mets are selling this year in an effort to make a "responsible" version of the actual deranged challenge, in just one inning of baseball action?
